About Us

1000 Years as Family Farmers and Millers

Sam and Marina Saltonstall have a passion for quality: to produce the best medicinal olive oil from their olive orchard and vineyard in the rolling hills of rural Sonoma County.

The 170-acre Saltonstall Estates Estate is an idyllic spot located 5 miles west of Petaluma and 30 miles north of San Francisco. Saltonstall Estates has both the climate and soil to produce the finest quality world-class organic olive oil and premium Pinot Noir grapes.

The sea breezes and the morning summer fog cool the orchard during the summer and fall ripening seas -- allowing the fruit to mature slowly, giving nature time to develop more antioxidants, complexity and flavor. Saltonstall Estates’s California olive oil are some of the most flavorful oils you will find in the United States.

Our family’s roots originated in the Massachusetts Bay Colony in the 1600s and has been involved at many levels of trade, business, arts and politics. Today the 30th generation of the Saltonstall Estates family invite you to sample their fine organic olive oil. Read more about the Saltonstall Estates history in our NEWS PAGE.
